DESCRIPTION:On April 1st at 5pm the inaugural Kenton Rotary 0.5K will be held at Braxton Brewery in Covington. At the 5:30 start time all the participants will walk a half a kilometer (0.5K) around the block. To make sure all our participants have enough energy to make it to the finish line\, each one will be given a “special cannoli” from Del Gardo’s. When they cross the finish line everyone will go to The Loft on the second floor where they will be able to get a post-race adult beverage ((21 and up\, soft drink for the littles) that is included in the registration. DESCRIPTION:Rise and Shine 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser is more than a race but will be an experience for runners to run with a purpose.  The day before Easter was chosen specifically so that Christ can be glorified and the gospel can be shared. DESCRIPTION:Canaan Joseph Foundation is a non-profit organization with a goal of helping families with children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Every 15 minutes a child born is being diagnosed with a congenital heart disease\, the # 1 birth defect in children. On average\, 40\,000 children born are diagnosed with CHD. With the size of a walnut\, many newborns undergo open-heart surgeries in the first few days of their life. It is a world-changing and heart-wrenching journey the loved ones of the child must face. There is no cure for it\, only a temporary fix. This means these children go numerous heart surgeries during their lifetime. Many do not make it beyond their first year. Needless to say\, one of the hardest battles the loved ones fight along with their little heart warrior. The proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit the inpatient families and research in the Cardiac Unit at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. \nMore Details
