DESCRIPTION:The Red Wolf Sanctuary is once again hosting it’s 5K and 10K Trail Walk/Run\, Across their beautiful\, 452 acre facility in Rising Sun\, Indiana. The event will be timed but recreational runners and walkers are welcome. All proceeds from the event will be used to support the sanctuary and its endeavors to preserve native North American wildlife through environmental education and the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife. \nThe 5K is a beautiful course\, the first couple of miles take you along the waterways\, through wetlands and fields and the final mile takes you down the trail passed the large wildlife enclosures. If runners choose to take on the challenge and continue with the 10K they will at one point run up an over 240 feet in elevation in just under a mile. The 10K is not for the faint of heart. \nDetails

DESCRIPTION:Sound the Alarm 5K race/walk is a gentle out and back course on Madison Pike through historical portion of Independence\, KY.  Elevations changes along the course are less than 45’.  \nAge Groups: Male and Female AND runners/walkers \nUnder 15/16-20/21-25/26-30/31-35/36-39/40-45/45-49/50-54/55-60/61-64/65 and older \nThe mission of the Sound the Alarm 5K Run/Walk is to provide awareness and financial support to the men and women of the first responder community. This year’s race will help by raising funds to help provide financial support to the families of Firefighters\, Police Officers\, and Emergency Medical Staff providers who are killed in the line of duty.   \nThis year the Independence Professional Firefighters Union Local 3945 in partnership with Hickory Grove Baptist Church will be again teaming up to help raise awareness and financial support to an organization to aid in this issue. SUMMARY:Applefest 5k/10k/15k
DESCRIPTION:The Annual Applefest 10k/15k run and 5k run/walk are a part of the Lebanon\, Ohio Applefest held each year. All 3 race distances will start near the outdoor pool pavilion. The 5k is mostly a flat route on Deerfield Rd sidewalk\, then take a right onto Turtle Creek Union Rd\, right on Natalie Lane to the end of the street\, right onto the bike trail\, right onto the sidewalk\, right into the YMCA entrance and finish line. The 10k splits left onto the bike trail with a turnaround back to the YMCA following the same finish as the 5k. The 15k goes further out on the bike trail before turning around and heading back to the YMCA. \nRegister

DESCRIPTION:Friends and family teams are the core that makes Steady Strides a financial success and a truly communal gathering. Joined by a common connection to Parkinson Disease\, these groups come together to assure that the support services so vital to a full and active life are available to their loved ones. Teams take on their own personalities and make sure to include fun as a focus of the day. And they can get pretty competitive when it comes to number of participants and funds raised. \nSupport for the teams frequently ranges beyond immediate\, even extended\, families and circle of friends. Teams solicit sponsors from their communities and across their social media groups as well.
