SUMMARY:Sue Harder Memorial 5K
DESCRIPTION:Sue Harder passed away suddenly at the young age of 58 in Jan 2021. She was a beloved member of the Fleet Feet Running Club. She was a very active runner who ran three marathons and countless half marathons. Her latest half marathon was just a few months before her passing. She was supportive of all new runners and was a friend and cheerleader to all her fellow runners. SUMMARY:Kat Walk
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 7th and final year of the Kat Walk! We are continuing to honor Katherine this year by making the 7th year the final year since 7 was Katherine’s favorite number. This year’s Kat Walk will again be a 3K walk to local Hamilton businesses to raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Donations and a scholarship to be awarded in honor of Katherine Schindler. The proceeds of this event are donated to several organizations close to her heart and ours: NAMI\, 1N5\, Fernside\, and Donate Life (in her passing\, Katherine was able to gift organs to others). Katherine was a 2014 graduate of Badin H.S. and as such we award a scholarship to a graduating student that possesses a little of Katherine’s passion and compassion. We feel that this walk is a great opportunity to remember her and to raise awareness and funds so that others can know that they are never alone and always loved. \nDetails
