Meeting came to order at 6:35 PM.

Meeting Minutes:  April Meeting Minutes & 2012 Annual Minutes were approved.

Financial Report: Ryan Woolley reported that we have $15, 269.17 in the bank with no outstanding checks.  Gina will look into getting a debit or credit card for our Club account at 5/3 Bank, and ask about how many people can be on the account at one time. Ryan Smith will need to be added to the account.

Membership: Todd reported that there were 114 members; 20 new members since the annual meeting in April. Need to import our membership database to Mail-Chimp. Ryan Smith will look at getting our account transferred from Constant Contact. Jascia will need to meet with Todd to learn database for membership mailings.

Newsletter: The Board discussed going with e-newsletters in the near future to cut down on paper and mailings, as well as a more efficient way to send them out to members– possibly for the end of Summer newsletter in August.

Website:  Jascia and Ryan Smith need to send Marty photos for the website. Ryan Smith will keep the 30 min. speed coaching session on Facebook once a week.

Race Committees:   Met to discuss Summer Mile Series and Memorial Day Race.  Next meeting is May 14, 2012 at Otto Armleder Park.

Group Runs:  Two Sunday runs- good attendance at Miami Whitewater each week; Ryan reported that a few people came to the first Florence Sunday run. Both Sunday group runs will be cancelled this week only due to the Flying Pig events. Gina may be reviving the Thursday group run at Tri-State Running Co. over the summer along with a coaching session – TBD. Ryan S. suggested partnering with smaller local running stores to offer training programs.

Training Program: Laura Wagner will be starting the Hyde Park Blast program at the end of May for 6 weeks.

Merchandising: Bags and magnets were ordered – check needs to be cut to Ryan Smith for this. Around $900. Spent for this year

Miscellaneous:  Ryan S. & Gina discussed hosting a Day of Running twice a year – possibly in January and again in the fall – an educational day with coaches, running experts; we would charge a small fee to attend this mini Expo on Running. We may look into getting more vendors to participate and look at doing this type of event in conjunction with our annual meeting for 2013.

Race clock – Board decided to hold off for awhile on purchasing a new race clock until we can schedule at least ten paying events for this year, in order to offset the large cost.

Next Board Meeting: Next board meeting will be held Tuesday June 5th at 6:30PM – location TBD.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
