RUNNERS’ CLUB OF GREATER CINCINNATI ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES
April 9, 2012 7:00 PM

Members Present:  Eileen Hogan, Dave Nelson, Jerry Patton, Jascia Redwine, Rob Siegel, Llee Sivitz,  Ryan Smith, Lisa Clements
Meeting came to order at 7:05 PM.
President’s Opening Comments: Gina reviewed Club events and accomplishments over the past year, including the club teams at many local races, races like Memorial Day Race 35, and Winter Wonderland race. Gina gave an update of upcoming events which included the club’s involvement in the 2012 Flying Pig Marathon, Memorial Day Race 36, the current group runs at Miami Whitewater Forest and the new group run starting April 15 in Florence. Gina also mentioned the first RCGC Fitness Family Walk and the club’s Run a Mile Training Program and Hyde Park Blast Runs.
Featured Speaker – Ryan Smith: Ryan Smith gave a talk on how to decrease injury.  He talked about the 7 movement test that he has each runner go through with Gina demonstrating each of the 7 movements.  Based on the test, Ryan can tell you the likelihood of getting injured and what he can do to improve your running form to decrease injury.
2011 Financial Report: Report prepared by Ryan Woolley –Treasurer. In 2011, the Club had an overall net gain of $7,905.00, versus a projected net loss of $2,125.00. Key expenses for the year were the Club Newsletter and RRCA Dues and expenses from the club’s three largest events (the Weight Watchers’ Walk, Valentine’s Day Race, and Memorial Day race). Our three most profitable events were the Weight Watchers Walk-It Day 5k(7,003.53 net), Valentine's Day Race(2012.22 net) and Memorial Day Race(1702.03 net). Opening bank balance was 7696.21 and ending was 17,082.44.  
2012 Budget Presentation: For 2012, Ryan projects an overall net loss of $5,425.00, with key projected expenses being Race Equipment Increase from 1,000 to 3,000 due to the need for a new race clock, an additional budget expense of $2,000 for low key club races for 2012, and the RRCA Expense Increase from 1,000 to 2,000 to send someone to the 2012 RRCA Convention in Memphis.  2012 Income is slated to be 9,105.00 and 2012 Expenses will be 14,530.00.
Nominations and Elections of RCGC 2011 Board of Trustees and Officers: Results of the election were as follows:
President: Gina Meyers
Vice-President: Ryan Smith
Treasurer: Ryan Woolley
Secretary: Jascia Redwine
Trustees At Large: Tom Glasscock, Todd Hofacre
The members present also voted on the motion to offer a scholarship to two high school students for 2013. Motion was passed.
